The last blog we left Joe being happy with his new Concert Hall and he didn't need to rewire his entire house. Joe has the best of both worlds. I don't know many folks who would want to own their very own Concert Hall, but what I do know a lot of people who find themselves frustrated by the world in which they live. We were taught in school, church, friends and by our family that if we adhere to certain principles in life then everything would work out fine. Now we're adults and nothing is as it seems. Things just didn't work out exactly the way we thought they would, did they? This is where the blame game really takes on a life of its own. Just listen to your favorite television station and you'll eventually hear someone blaming someone about something. The forever mantra of "Nothing in life is fair and I desire better" shows up tattooing you with anger. Frustration moves in and makes a home for itself. You find yourself talking out loud saying, "what in heck happened to my life?" and "How can I straighten it all out?" But deep down you know you have no idea what steps to take and resign yourself to, "it's really not that bad" but you know you deserve better. That's when you feel a sadness coming on. Your doctor tells you about a new anti-depressant and how your life is not your problem, but some physical issue. So you take your pills and you feel better for a while but then one day you look in the mirror and realize your still depressed. So how do we get back to even and getting our just rewards? Well, we don't. I didn't have to tell you that, did I? No one is coming to your rescue. No one is going to carry your burdens for you. Nope, it's all going to be up to you. You have to save yourself and isn't that better anyway? Isn't it better to learn how to fish and catch your own food then have to depend on someone else to feed you? If you answered yes, then you are ready, or are you? Rewiring the soul means taking on change. A change that some people in your life may not like. A change that will in some way cause you to look at life and your purpose here from a different viewpoint. To rewire is to give up some of the habits that have made you comfortable all of these years. It will also make you less afraid. Less afraid of death and not nearly as timid when it comes to trying something new. Yes, change scares the beegeebers out of us, but the wise know that nothing, absolutly nothing stands still. Everything around us is constantly changing and if we aren't? Then we are going to get left standing at the station wondering why our train never showed up. Right now your train is here and you can hear the steam bellowing from the smoke stack as the engine warms. Are you ready to get on board? Then come back tomorrow and we will start on the journey to rewiring the soul. So sit down, buckle in and enjoy the ride!
