Why Don't Animals catch the flu?

Why don't animals get the flu or the common cold? What is it about them? Growing up, my dog never got sick. The whole house would come down with the flavor of the month ailment, but not her. Why? I wondered.
The reason they don't catch the flu is the same reason for their instinct. They are more closely connected to their Inner Source. We are all part of Source Energy, the result of First Thought. Animals do not have the developed mind or the capacity to think like man. They live more in harmony with nature and therefore are more in tune with the Universal Forces. They don't contemplate their death or worry where their next meal is coming. They act in a way that is consistent with their nature. Without all of these worries to entertain everyday their immune system is invulnerable to attack. We are however seeing more and more medical problems coming from domesticated animals, but that is simple. They aren't eating foods according to what they would find for themselves in a natural environment. They are also influenced by the negative vibrations within the human household. If you put them back into their natural habitat they would resume (if the condition hasn't progressed too far) to their natural healthy state. All animals wild and domestic can teach you plenty. Think about your dog and every time you see him, his tail is wagging as he looks up to you. He comes over so cheerful and gives you a lick of affection. Now this happens every single day and more than once. Try going through one day being cheerful like your best friend. Can you do it? You come home and nothing went well at work. The kids are screaming and running around. You feel a headache coming on. Snoopy comes barreling toward you and you scream at him and push him away. Does he bite you? Does he think:
"Humph. All I wanted to do was tell my master how happy I was to see her and she yells at me? Fine. Next time she comes home, I'll just ignore her. Maybe, I'll growl when she comes to pet me. That'll show her."
Does he do that? Would he do that? No, he will always love you. Can you do that? If a friend, a boss, a co-worker or even a family member is having a noticeably bad day and they say something inappropriate to you, can you be like your best friend? Can you ignore the others rampage and not get all mad yourself? Can you move through life like your dog or cat even when the world negatively attacks you mentally and sometimes physically from all angles? Can you carry on with a smile in your heart? You don't have to be some ones punching bag, but you also have the power to walk away and let all of their negativity be their problem and not yours. Our animals have a lot to teach us if we would only take some time to listen to them. My next Blog - "I am sick of being sick"  we'll discuss ways of handling illness caused by stress and negativity. You'll learn some techniques on how to align yourself closer to your Inner Source of power.
