I'm Sick of Obamacare! I think.

My last blog talked about how we can learn from our animals both wild and domestic. Our four legged friends are lucky in certain ways. The biggest one is they don't worry or stress like we do. What causes so much stress in our lives? And we know that stress is one of the if not the leading factor when it comes to dis-ease. That's right, when we get out of balance through negative thoughts about money, relationships, health, and life in general is when our bodies operate at below optimal efficiency. So how do we get ourselves back on track?
First thing to do is take inventory of yourself -
Ask - Am I taking care of number one (me) first off?
       - If you think it is selfish then you are wrong. If you aren't taking care of yourself then you can and most likely will become a burden to others.
               - Make a mental note of what you primarily think about during the day.
                               - Health Problems?
                               - Relationships?
                               - Money Issues?
                               - Your Job?

We'll start with Health today. I have heard more negatives coming from people about Obamacare than anything else I've heard about in a long time. It seems that those who have health insurance are afraid of Obamacare. They have told me that they don't like the idea of Government controlling their health care. I've heard that health care should be reserved for only those who can afford it. It's moving us into socialism along with other negative comments.
It is human nature to be afraid of change, but change is happening every day. Being upset or afraid or mad at Obamacare is the belief that you are not in control of your health. The fear that there is a lack of help out there especially now that our President opened up health care to more people making your slice of the medical pie even smaller. This concept is wrong because there is no lack in this world. Actually the more we want the more we get. But that is a hard concept isn't it, because you've been disappointed in the past because you didn't get what you wanted. Let me clarify that last statement - What you think about expands. You may want something, but if you think you can't get it, then you will not.
You want some control over insurance and although the old traditional insurance run had plenty of problems, it was the best we have ever known, actually the only thing we've known. Sweeping changes when it comes to healthcare is scary, due to lack of personal control. But you never really had control of traditional insurance, have you?  One thing you do have absolute control over? Your health. Your degree of health is a direct indicator of your State-of-Being. It isn't who is running healthcare that should bother you. It is the fact you need healthcare. For instance, the flu and the common cold come around every year at this time. This makes absolutely no sense. How in the world does a bug attack humans (the only animals affected) for the same few months every year and then disappear to return next year? When I sold a flu drug back in my pharmaceutical days my company would track the flu reports and I could see each state turn red (indicating influenza out break) week after week.
So I would ask myself why don't my pets catch this rascally bug from me when I got sick? Why does this strange little cretin only make his visit once a year and why can't we stop it once and for all?
The answer I came up with might surprise you. It's not really a bug at all. It is our thoughts that bring about the flu and the common cold. Reality always follows thought. I didn't say positive thoughts, I said thoughts. This little creature of destruction becomes real to us, but only because we invited it in through our thoughts and beliefs of its reality. Here is where it starts:
    - We cough in our sleeve - meaning I don't want to spread my germs (thought - I have germs)
    - We wash our hands all the time and take extra effort especially in public bathrooms - meaning I don't want to catch anything (thought - germs are everywhere)
   - We get our flu shot - meaning I need it so I won't get the flu (thought - I will get the flu unless I get the shot first)
   - The media around this time every year ramps up its advertising of products to fight this bug when she arrives (because we know she will) further reinforcing the belief of impending doom.
   - I would wager if we came up with placebo common cold shot it work just as well as the flu shot.
So how many times of the day do you think about those nasty germs? If you forget, just turn on the television. How many of your friends and co-workers do you notice walking around coughing and hacking, missing work? The warning bells are ringing all around you, aren't they? But then, how many times do your animals think about those nasty germs? As I notice my dog drinking out of the toilet.
Bottom line - If you think you might get the flu if you aren't careful enough, then you might. If you say to yourself "I always get sick this time of year" then you will. Will Obamacare help our country? Will it be better for all of us all around? What do you think? If you think it is going to be full of problems for you then it will. It is here and if you think it is a good thing then it will be, for you. Who and how America runs its insurance pales to the fact of whether you need it or not. Instead of focusing on what is wrong, concentrate on what is right in all aspects of your life and you'll be amazed at the transformation! Well, I hear someone lapping up water and it's coming from the bathroom. I think it's time for me to get up and fill Dakota's dog dish with some clean water.
